I am a self taught artist and have painted wildlife for over 30 years. All my paintings are original works of art, not prints. I normally paint in watercolours but occasionally use acrylics, pastels, and ink for illustrations. Most of my work is based on field studies and many of the paintings are started on site.

I always have a range of framed and unframed paintings available and welcome commissions.

I have had many front covers published in British Birds Magazine
and my illustrations have been used in numerous books and magazines including:

The EBBC Atlas of European Breeding Birds
The New Atlas of Breeding Birds of Britain & Ireland
Birding on the Greek Island of Lesvos
Many Country Bird Atlases
Bird books on London, Surrey & Wiltshire

I have exhibited with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds since 1975 and have had two one man exhibitions at the In-Focus Gallery off Pall Mall London. Other successful shows have been at Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust at Barnes, London and at Abberton Reservoir, Essex. Every year I exhibit my work at the British Birdwatching Fair at Rutland Water.

Over recent years I have visited Canada, Morocco, Goa and various parts of Europe to study and paint wildlife in the field. Many pictures are produced from my travels within the British Isles.
